Dr. Gianfranco Tudicò, CEO and Head of R&D at i-Tech Industries, is a distinguished skincare expert with a four-decade career in the beauty and medical equipment sector. His remarkable journey includes a notable 25-year tenure as General Manager of LPG System in France, and as Director of R&D.
Naturally passionate and enthusiastic, Mr. Luca Gualdrini has cultivated extensive experience with more of 20 years in sales and marketing management within various settings, including as an independent professional and in corporate roles. Since 2014, he has been successfully leading the international development and expansion of the highly esteemed brand, icoone®, as General Manager of i-Tech Industries company.

Dr. Tudicò, with your extensive experience in the beauty and medical equipment industry, could you share some insights into the key trends and developments you’ve observed in the field in recent years?
The main developments are as below:
- Increasingly strong demands from customers to use proven effective technologies that can achieve real and rapid results.
- Research for technologies with “natural” and non-invasive reactions.
- Legal and normative obligations which require manufacturers to place scientifically proven technologies and protocols on the market.
In recent years, it has become increasingly important to have beauty that is also synonymous with health. This has led the aesthetic world to be constantly in search of technologies and treatments that can provide not only an aesthetic result but also ensure an improvement in health, which in the case of icoone® involves the health of the skin and an enhancement of metabolic activities. All of this while maintaining a non-invasive treatment approach.
i-Tech Industries has made significant advancements in the development of skincare technologies. What inspired your vision to bring innovative medical and aesthetic devices like icoone® to the market?
The limits of existing technologies which were based on observations of human biomechanics from yesterday or the day before yesterday and which were finding it increasingly difficult to meet customer needs.
Thanks to the important revolutionary work of Dr. Guimberteau who demonstrated that connective tissue was very different from the diagrams that can be seen in anatomy books (a surgeon, he devoted his professional life to working and understanding tissue connective). My curiosity and my experience allowed me to understand these subtleties of the architecture of connective tissue and to develop the best technology to apply to the skin, whether for medical or aesthetic applications.
First of all, the desire to advance existing technologies and use my experience in this field to provide effective responses to the needs and requirements of our customers.
The inspiration arises from a genuine market need, which is the possibility of efficiently treating all types of skin, including the most delicate and sensitive ones, and ensuring long-lasting results.
In my professional journey, I have worked with technologies that had “limitations” in their application, and although they were valid and efficient, they couldn’t adapt to the various skin types they needed to treat.
Furthermore, in recent years, there has been a proliferation of technologies focused on specific areas of the body, which unfortunately overlooked a holistic approach to the body.
icoone®, on the other hand, aims to provide a personalized and adaptable treatment for every skin type. Thanks to its microstimulation technology, it can “awaken” the natural metabolism of our cells, leading to a metabolic reorganization of the treated areas.
Can you tell us more about the patented Roboderm® technology and how it has contributed to the success of i-Tech Industries?
My objective when I invented Roboderm® technology was to implement a more advanced technology that was less operator dependent, that is to say, to reduce the part of the methodology, to facilitate the applications of treatment heads for operator and therefore obtain easily reproducible results for customers.
The satisfaction of our customers thanks to the quality of the results obtained by Roboderm® technology has contributed enormously to making the entire range of our icoone® devices known.
The microstimulation technology is at the core of our technologies and our DNA. This has allowed i-Tech to quickly capture a significant portion of the market due to the results it provides to people who benefit from this treatment every day. We could thus claim that the biggest contribution to our growth comes from the satisfaction of the results achieved by our final customers worldwide.
Mr. Gualdrini, China is known for its rapidly growing beauty and wellness industry. How do you envision the role of i-Tech Industries in contributing to the evolution of this market in China?
China is one of the countries with the highest potential for i-Tech. However, at the same time, we must not forget that it has a different culture from ours. This is why collaboration with our partner Hoyar International is very important for i-Tech, as it is only through the strength of this collaboration that we can fully understand, adapt, and apply all the benefits of our treatment.
As mentioned, the country’s potential is very high, but at the same time, the expectations of the Chinese consumers have become even more demanding in recent years. This demand is certainly focused on the final result but also on overall well-being and functionality. It is precisely on this “value” that icoone® can contribute to the evolution of the beauty and wellness market.
In terms of technological innovation, what potential do you see in collaborating with Chinese partners or institutions for further research and development of skin treatments and body shaping technologies?
China is moving at a very high speed, both from an industrial and technological perspective, and it is currently an undisputed leader in technology and digitization. Therefore, I believe that thanks to the collaboration with our partner Hoyar International, icoone® will experience significant technological and digital development in the coming years. This will be incorporated into the treatment process to intercept and develop solutions for consumers, offering a more technological/digital approach to the treatment. This is particularly important given the increasing demand from an ever-younger audience.
As a leader in skin treatments and body shaping, what trends and advancements do you anticipate in the future of the beauty and medical equipment industry?
It is true that everything goes very quickly, new technologies become available, scientific research brings us new lessons every day. I often say that a society is not innovative because it invented something 5, 10, 15 years ago, you must constantly know how to evolve and question yourself if necessary.
i-Tech Industries is part of an approach of analysis, evolution and performance, we have ideas and projects in our drawers which allow us to envisage a future with new innovations to continue to satisfy our customers.
What we see happening all over the world is a continuous increase in the demand for efficient yet non-invasive treatments. Fewer and fewer people are willing to opt for “surgery” to redefine their beauty because the “negative aspects” sometimes outweigh the positives. Furthermore, the vision is to provide not just an efficient treatment but a “lifelong journey” that doesn’t end with the completion of the treatment cycle. Instead, it can accompany people on a path of improving their lifestyle over time, ensuring healthy and long-lasting beauty.
